The
Operations and Place Shaping Board is appointed by the Council to
examine the administration and policies of the Operations and Place
Shaping Directorate and the performance of the associated
commissioned and partnership services.
The
Board is one of 3 Scrutiny Boards established by the
Council.
The
Board chooses its own subjects of inquiry on services within this
Directorate which may include topics ranging from the costal
partnership to parking and environmental subjects. Depending on the subject, external deadlines, and
the amount of evidence the Board may decide to refer an inquiry
that may last for several months to a panel; other inquiries may
simply consist of a single session by the Board. Any
recommendations arising from inquiries by the Board or its Panels
are submitted to the Cabinet or the Council.
