Purpose:
Cabinet Lead Delegated Decision taken pursuant to paragraph 12.1.7, Part Two, Section D Article 20. ‘The Cabinet (Executive) Functions.
Decision:
To agree changes to the annual charges for the collection of household garden waste, applicable for subscriptions from 01 April 2023:
240 litre bin £78 per annum (25 collections)
140 litre bin £53 per annum (25 collections)
To delegate authority to the Executive Head of Commercial to agree and apply pro-rata charges for new subscriptions which commence within the charging period.
Provision of replacement and additional bins will be charged at prices published in the Council’s Fees and Charges; no charge will be applied for provision of a bin for new subscriptions.
Reasons for the decision:
To set the service charges for the collection of household garden waste for 2023/24, allowing sufficient time for subscription processes to be planned and delivered prior to the new financial year.
