RESOLVED that:

 

1.                  the minutes of the meeting of the Licensing Committee held on 16 August 2023 be agreed as a correct record and signed by the Chairman; and

 

2.                  the minutes of the meeting of the Licensing Sub - Committee held on 1 September 2023 be agreed as a correct record and signed by the Chairman

Adoption of Street Trading Provisions – Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 pdf icon PDF 108 KB

The Licensing and Animal Welfare Team Leader introduced her report and confirmed that no comments were received during the consultation period.

 

Following questions and debate, PROPOSED by Councillor Keast and SECONDED by Councillor Wade it was RESOLVED that the Licensing Committee:

 

 

  1. Review comments received during the consultation.

 

  1. Approve amendments required as a result of the consultation responses.

 

  1. Recommend that Full Council adopt the provisions of Part III and Schedule 4 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 (“the Act”) for the Havant Borough Council administrative area and designate consent streets.

The Licensing and Animal Welfare Team Leader introduced her report and confirmed that no comments were received during the consultation period.

 

It was confirmed that currently we only have one known street trader in the Borough.

 

Following questions and debate, PROPOSED by Councillor Keast and SECONDED by Councillor Patrick it was RESOLVED that the Licensing Committee:

 

 

A)    Note the content of the report.

And;

B) Recommend that Full Council:

           a. Adopt the Street Trading Policy

           b. Delegate the power to make any minor amendments to the Street Trading Policy to the Executive Head of Place in consultation with the Cabinet Lead.
